Opening Hours

Schönbrunn Zoo is open every day of the year, including public holidays, starting at 9:00 a.m. Closing times vary depending on the season, ranging from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Last admission is 30 minutes before closing time.

  • January: 9:00-16:30
  • February: 9:00-17:00
  • March: 9:00-17:30
  • April–September: 9:00–18:30
  • October (until daylight saving ends): 9:00 - 17:30
  • October–December: 9:00–16:30

Note: The aquarium and Tirolerhof close at the end of visiting hours. The birdhouse closes one hour earlier, and all other indoor enclosures close 30 minutes before closing time.

Visitor Guidelines

  • Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Dogs are not allowed in the palace park or the zoo. However, assistance dogs with valid documentation and identification are permitted.
